2016 Rip Curl Cup Padang Padang is ON!

Bali, Indonesia (Tuesday, August 2, 2016) – The 2016 Rip Curl Cup Padang Padang Invitational has been called ON at 12PM TODAY (local time Tuesday, Aug. 2). A massive southwest swell has lit up the southern coast of Bali, and the barrels at Padang Padang have finally reached the world-class caliber required to run the WSL’s most prestigious tuberiding invitational.

Sixteen of the best barrel riders in the world, including defending champion Garut Widiarta (IND), Mason Ho (HAW), Clay Marzo (HAW), Bruce Irons (HAW), Damien Hobgood (USA), Rizal Tandjung (IND), and two-time event champion Lee Wilson (IND), are on hand at Padang Padang and are prepared to battle it out.

The drama begins Tuesday (Aug 2) at 12PM local time with Heat 1: Lee Wilson (IND), Bruce Irons (HAW), Agus “Blacky” Setiawan (IND) and Clay Marzo (HAW).
